Portside Solutions Pty Ltd. (Portside) was established in 2007 to provide operational and management support to numerous clients within the port logistics and shipping management industry. The company’s portfolio of services has expanded to include a wide platform of port users, including mining companies and logistics providers.

Led by Managing Director Ray Lee, who has more than forty years of global industry experience, Portside boasts a robust team of industry specialists located throughout the company’s focus regions. Integrated in-house capabilities range from conceptual analysis and feasibility studies through to port management and specialist recruitment support.

An international division of Portside Solutions was established in Singapore in 2017 to provide a global base for the expansion of the company’s services abroad. Portside International Pte. LTD (Singapore) extends the range of services provided by Portside Solutions to incorporate disaster response and recovery, crane repair and maintenance, crane relocation / removal and engineering support.

Portside has provided consulting services to global organisations including DP World (Australia, Dubai, Vancouver), APM Terminals (Singapore, Salalah Oman), Tasports (Australia), Vedanta Resources (South Africa), CFM (Government of Mozambique), Exxaro (Republic of Congo) OMSA (Australia), Transport for New South Wales and QUBE Logistics (Australia).

Portside assisted to broker the enterprise agreement for DP World Australia delivering a significant saving for the life of the agreement (ending in 2020). Amongst several running contracts, Portside managed Australia’s largest port, West Swanson Terminal Melbourne, Port Botany Sydney, and Fremantle while the company (DPWA) carried out executive searches for new port General Managers.

The company provides expert witness services for a range of law firms based in Australia.

Portside provides advice on targeted acquisitions for large companies such as Aurizon; Australia’s largest rail freight operator, which seek to unlock value at the intersection of ports and inland rail.

The company has expanded its equipment provision services to include independent crane inspections and valuations for several prominent Australian logistics companies.
